The Campaign for the Protection of Rural England (CPRE) has called a public meeting of residents and councillors to oppose plans for the proposed A46 Expressway across land to the south of the city of Leicester including the Harborough District.
The plan involves a new dual carriageway from Syston to a new motorway intersection between Leicester Forest East and Lutterworth with the construction of up to 38,000 new houses. The road would cross the A6 near Great Glen.
The CPRE is being supported by the south and east Leicestershire Action Group (SELAG) and the Willoughby Waterleys Residents Association (WWRA).
The meeting will be held at the Coplow Centre, Uppingham Road, Billesdon on Thursday 4th April 2019 at 7.00pm.
